I love it! Even the BBC is on the case. And is 'travel-time-budget'Doug mate - why do you think we have a rush hour (usually around 2hrs going
part of a 'deep rooted human characteristic', aka remaining primitive
hunter gatherer instinct?
"Whether you live in a modern, fast moving city or a slow, rural
hamlet - you'll probably spend as long getting to and from work every
day. But how's that going to work when everyone in the world gets a
car?
Do you travel for roughly the same amount of time each day? And is it,
on average, one to one-and-a-half hours? If it is, your behaviour is
in line with your innate "travel-time budget". That's the name given

It doesn't matter how we travel - whether it's on foot, by car or

remains constant. So if travelling is a deep-rooted human
characteristic and we have always done it, will we carry on?..."

anticipated. He expected 60% of the 25 million visitors coming to the
centre to arrive by public transport but so far it has turned out to
be closer to 75% thanks to rail, underground and bus stations, three
of them brand new..."

Its NOT to piss off the greenies or the professional "extremist", Its
because people have to go to work -whether its an office, factory or a shop.
IF a Government or Council push too hard to bring in a new congestion charge
they will loose power
Anyway you're almost as old as me ;-) so you'll remember the promise that
when/If green taxes were introduced other taxes would be reduced so the net
effect would bezero
Bringing in the BBC that uber PC trendy lefty body will not help as there's
no more hypocrits in one single organisation in the World is there?
