Oh dear! Yet another problem for motorists. Makes you wonder why they
don't just take the train or bus instead or else adapt their
lifestyles to avoid these hassles and expenses.
How is this a problem or a hassle?
You have had to declare modifications for decades.
Probably since car insurance has existed. Similarly, I have just renewed some building insurance, which required me to declare any modifications that might affect the level of risk insured.
Why don't you just live in a tent instead , what with all the extra hassle and expense....
