ISTR that prior to this FX4s had "Mickey Mouse ears" indicators on the roof above the B pillar.
Yes - that was another of the changes that happened during the G registration year. The front indicator fitment (the little orange glass "blister") was borrowed from the Austin A30/A35.
It would take another six years (N reg) before the indicators were operable from a steering column stalk instead of a Minor 1000-style switch on top of the dash. And about the same time before a heater temperature control was added to the cockpit equipment. Before that, the driver had to stop, lift the bonet and turn a tap on the cylinder head to "switch" from cold to hot or vice-versa. Going from hot to cold, he could burn his fingers. Doorlocks (for the rear doors) were only added during the P reg.
