Yesterday, a little bit of Hell dropped below zero..... Yesterday, I
actually bought a bicycle.

OMFG, WHAT HAVE I DONE!?!?!

Ironically, I've purchased this bike in order to be frivolously
"hypermobile" - as I am using it to boost my fitness (which is crap) &
drop some weight (which is excessive); not to actually *go* anywhere;
I'll keep the car for that.

Oh, and I won't be cycling anytime soon in the UK either - the weather's
crap & the standard of driving is too poor to risk it. Apologies if this
is seen as giving ammunition to the duhgturd.

FTAOD: I've not bought any lycra at all, nor will I ever do. You can
rest your heaving stomachs now...

Carbon Offset Statement: I drove some 900 miles in a 20mpg car, and
spent 25 hours on a diesel-powered boat in order to purchase this
contraption. I believe I have emitted sufficient CO2 to offset any
accidental "carbon savings" my bicycle use may cause.

Excellent post! Well done!! Happy cycling. I try to cycle for the same
reasons as you.

I've discovered (not that it was much of a discovery) that I am deeply
unfit. Ah well, not for much longer hopefully...

Just out of interest, where do you like that's so far from a bike shop? Or
was it a super-special bike at an amazingly low price?

I frivolously drove to Spain last week; I'm here for the winter now.
Another 20 degree sunny day today - smug just doesn't do the emotion
justice...
