Wrong. It's because the eco-mentalists realised they were wrong and
tried to fudge the issue in the hope that nobody would notice.

Problem is , no one really knows what will happen. The
enviromentalists haven't helped themselves by declaring a doomssay
scenario every 5 minutes , on the other hand I think its fair to say
that added 10 billion tons of C02 to the atmosphere every year is
going to have *some* effect eventually , quite what is anyones guess.

Is the correct answer. It's complete conjecture and they keep changing
the doom-mongering line whenever it looks like they were proven wrong
or it has been proven that certain events have happened in the past.
