Makes you wonder if it is worth having a car these days.

"A hospital has made almost £250,000 in one month from parking
charges levied on patients, visitors and staff.

Recent fee increases have put Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge
on course to take around £3million this year, which would be a
record for an NHS trust. The hospital said any profit was being
invested in patient care and improving car park safety..."
Good for them. However, I do think they shouldn't charge staff or
patients, other than maybe a token amount, but it's fair play to
charge visitors.
So, should all jobs come with free parking?

Not at all, and that's not what I said.

Sorry, yes, I'd misread your original post by overlooking the point
about "a token amount".

No problem.

See, Doug, someone who can see they made a very minor mistake, admits to it
and apologises. All friendly, nice and keeps the sun shining, unlike your
continual shifting of goalposts, body-swerves, bluster and shouts of
whatever invective you feel like.

It's called civilised debate and argument.
