You are assuming he has a licence or indeed ever had one.
Doug has held a full Driving Licence for the whole of his adult life.
Although it has now lapsed, he renewed it twice after his 70th birthday in
accordance with the law.
Doug used to own a Land Rover, and once used it to tow a lorry out of a
ditch.
He has proudly related the tale on this very newsgroup, admiring the working
ability of his Land Rover- which is understandable since Land Rovers are an
engineering marvel.
The thing is, that because Doug doesn't do it any more, he thinks the rest
of us shouldn't.
He is angry because he is about to die, and let's face it- who among us
won't be?
