your vegan diet,

Not necessarily.
You insist that soya is a good meat replacement product, yet this has
to be flown from halfway across the world. Rain forests have been
ripped up to grow it.

"Scouring the country in vain for a restaurant that could supply 'you'

Liar. I don't use restaurants.

Is that a different doug Bollen from yourself.
How many vegan cycling OAP Doug Bollens are there that live in London.
Nothing to do with me. You have the wrong person.
Just how many OAP vegan Doug Bollens are there that live in London. Do
you own a cloning factory or something.
I do own a home, however I don't have a network of four computers. I
don't import my food (where knowingly) from other continents. I don't
watch TV. I bet I don't produce as much methane as you.
If you use a car you must be consuming much more energy than me and if
you eat meat you are responsible for loads more methane.
Where did you get the idea that I use a car from. As you could have
checked from this forum, I don't have or use a car.
Well bully for you. How do you get around then?
Pedal bike.
I bet my energy usage is far lower than yours.
btw you never answered my other question.
What is your annual electricity bill?
What is your annual gas bill?
Knowing the level of dishonesty of people on this NG I won't even
begin to suggest that you respond with your own truthful energy
numbers but here are mine all the same
My electricity for the last three months 273kWh - £37.32
Gas 629kWh - £19.45
Above total 902kWh
From my last quarterly electricity bill I used 811 kWh for £75
Are you in permanent residence there and are you using high-grade
energy for heating?
(I don't have gas supplied to my penthouse, so gas=0).
As I use electricity, some of my power comes from non-greenhouse
nuclear power, and hopefully some from wave and wind.
Just like mine, or so the suppliers like to claim, so your point
is...?
Gas is 100% fossil fuel to CO2 gas.
Another evasion?
I use less power in my home than you. What question am I evading, or
are you just uncomfatable that you burn greenhouse gases in your house
and I don't
I also hope they build that big dam thing between Wales and England to
produce some water power.
Don't we all but who is holding their breath?
Since recently switching partly to solar I expect these charges to be
reduced still further.
Solar is a false economy. It costs far more to install solar panels
than the power raised from them in their lifetime.
Another evasion?
Sorry I am confused. Solar panels require a lot of energy to
manufacture. The are not green. (The term you would use is green
wash).
Their only real use is reducing the amount of batteries used, and for
remote power.
My supplier currently owes me £71.38cr on my
direct debit.
That is largely due to seasonal fluctuations in your energy use. You
use a lot less in summer.
No, it is due to the fact that I am constantly working on reducing my
energy consumption. We are supposed to be comparing like with like
aren't we? I take it you are using electricity for heating in the
winter? A gross waste of high-grade energy
Last winter was mild. I did not turn my penthouse heating on. The only
heating I used was for hot water so that I could have a bath.
What is the difference between energy and high grade energy?
Not having a car saves me approximately 10kWh per litre of petrol. How
much petrol do you consume in 3 months?
Again, how do you travel? Do you ever fly perhaps and how often? As
expected and predicted you response is disingenuous and evasive.
I travel by bike. I do very occasionally travel by plane, about five
times in the last ten years. (I wish I could afford more holidays
abroad). But I eat as little imported food as possible, unlike
yourself. You need a good amount of your food imported fromt the farms
that used to be rain forests.
