Quite possibly. I have no idea of the history of the technology. I do know
that Citroen had similar tilt-into-the-corner technology in trial on the DS
in the late '50s, though.

I'm merely pointing out that NM's confident assertion that Talgo Pendulars
(which he named explicitly) were in service contemporaneously with the UK
still building steam trains is chronological complete bollocks - Twenty
complete years separate them.
