The first official direct train service from Madrid to Paris without passengers needing to transfer at the frontier. It was composed of train Talgo 111RD headed by locomotive KM3001, Routed via Lourdes the journey to Paris crossed the frontier at Henday.

That was the first with gague changing wheels.
