A typical computer consumes 100 Watts. Say
it is run for 8 hours/day = 800 Wh. Petrol energy is about 10kWh/litre.
So that computer is equivalent to 0.08 litre of petrol/day. How far
would that get you in your 4x4?

Running your 4 computers means 3.2kwh. Assuming 100% efficency at the
power plant, you are using 1/3 of a litre of petrol every day. I don't
own a 4x4, but I do own a car. I get 55mpg, or 12 miles per litre, or a
4 mile journey for the energy your computers use. How does it feel to
drive a car 1,460 miles a year (more if you take into account power
station efficency)?

I do not run four computers for 8 hours per day, so you numbers are
wrong. Typically you would only get about a 1 mile journey equivalent
at most.

How does it feel for you to be such a profligate waster of
non-renewables?
