Re: 4x4 debate - what HAVE you people got against Doug???

Ian (if.ptnospam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) gurgled happily, sounding much like
they were saying :

The URL supplied by Doug compared only the urban cycle

But of course. That's an absolute "worst case", so best suited to his
greenwash.

so I compared the same to show how biased it is. If you want to
compare every 4x4 against an equivalently powered 2wd I look forward
to your analysis.

<points towards google>
I've done a swathe before.

Bare in mind that the official figures are only available for urban
and extra urban cycles.

And combined, of course.

The extra urban penalty for the V70 AWD is 8.5%

So that's AWD drivetrain *alone*.
Now - the XC70?
Or the same lump in the XC90?

and the ML500 it is 20.6%.

<wince> - and the E500 drinks like Oliver Reed anyway.

Still nothing like the hotch potch of comparisons used in the anti 4x4
site.

Well, quite. The figures are clear enough without resorting to that sort
of bollocks.
