So should I cut down and burn more trees to save the planet?
Doug also thinks that burning oil (a non renewable fossil fuel) for heating
is preferable to burning wood from trees that can regrown in a man's
lifetime (50 years according to Doug).
All of the wood I am burning was unwanted and most would have been taken by
the tree surgeon to be dumped in landfill if I hadn't offered to take it.
The rest was diseased wood from my own trees and branches that were rubbing
on the roof of outbuildings. And Doug worries about the habitat of the
little insects. I think he needs to sort out his priorities.
I bet his home is heated by non-renewable fossil fuels.
