That fact alone is enough to pay due respect to areas of the road that
could remain freezing at 10am.

If a drivers sees grit on any road on any part of the journey, that
SHOULD be enough information to tell them ice is a possibility somewhere
along the route.

I am sure they will, just after the first numpty comes along and spins
out. Just before christmas I left a village with perfectly good grip,
into a country area where the grip seemed a little light. I reduced speed
at the very first bend to test the grip - it was very slippery. Just
around the bend I see two cars in a ditch with bemused looking drivers.

Amazingly stupid and short sighted.
