I didn't even know about this until I checked my Oyster Card usage
the other day. When was it introduced?

January this year, unless it was in operation last year (can't remember).

It came in with Oyster prepay in January 2004, although the "full rate"
period was adjusted at the start of this year to run from 7am-7pm.
Previously it started at 6.30am.


As far as I can see from my 2004 fares leaflet pdf, there was no 7pm
cutoff then, but weekend fares were cheaper than weekdays.
