Some people still use PAYG dial-up, where the most economical method
of reading newsgroups is to download the latest posts and read them
off-line.
A post containing just a URL requires the individual to go back
on-line to understand the topic. Until we're all on broadband, I
suggest it would be courteous to provide a summary of the story,
rather than just post a one-liner.
