Hi

I hope someone can offer a helping hand in my problem.

My son lives with his grandfather and asked for Orange broadband to be
put on a long established BT line. Orange provided broadband but also
took over the landline. My son asked to go back to Orange broadband
with BT line rental and Orange dropped both the landline and the
broadband service.

We asked BT to take the line back over but they say that this has not
been left in a state that can be taken over and we must ask Orange to
prepare the line for this. Orange say that there is nothing wrong with
the way the line has been left and we must deal with BT.

I have spent 7 hours on the phone to BT and Orange. I have written to
their complaints departments only to receive stock replies that do not
address the issues.

How do I proceed from here, PLEASE????????

Thanks

Vigman

PS BT and Orange ask all the same details every time I ring even
though they promise to keep a record of the conversations!!!

If I had the CLI, I could tell you the "state" of the
line..............

PM on its way to Jono.

Thanks for the general conclusion that a new line from BT might be the
quickest way. I have written to Orange to say if we have to go down
this route because of their error, I will reclaim the money in a SMall
Claims' Court!! Trouble is, father-in-law wants his old number back 8(

TIA Vigman
