The relay connection is pretty straightforward. You
shouldn't need to configure anything as long as the defaults
haven't been changed. I can give you the pin-outs and
default short-codes if you don't have the documentation.
That would be great, also the details of the connector and how to
interface it to the wires supplying the Fermax door entry handset. I
have little knowledge of these systems, but have had a look at some of
the wiring diagrams on the entryphone website and would imagine the
Fermax must be very similar.

According to the installation guide:
External Control Port (3.5mm Stereo Jack Socket)
Pin No. Description
1 Circuit 1
2 Circuit 2
3 0 Volts (Ground/Chassis)
4 Not Connected
5 Not Connected
Control Circuit Information
Control Circuit 1 Pin 2 and Pin 3, ensure that Pin 2 is at a positive voltage with respect to Pin 3.
Control Circuit 2 Pin 1 and Pin 3, ensure that Pin 1 is at a positive voltage with respect to Pin 3.
Each circuit can be switched independently.
Switch Setting Information
ON Low resistance between Pins.
OFF High resistance between Pins.

On the diagram, 2 is drawn as the terminal nearest the sleeve - possibly 1 is the tip?

From the Manager manual:
/quote
For Relay 1, *39 closes the relay, *40 opens the relay and *41 pulses the relay (closed for 5 seconds and then opened). For Relay 2, *42 closes the relay, *43 opens the relay and *44 pulses the relay.

If these codes have been changed, you would need to create new ones. The circuit number is specified in the "Telephone" field.
The system can be accessed using the Manager application by
anyone on the LAN, or using dial-up access via ISDN, or
dial-up via modems (though that option probably isn't
fitted). Once the file is saved to the PC, it can be edited
off-line and uploaded to the system. The file will not be
very large for a 8-user system and it could be sent by
e-mail to a remote editor who is unable to access the system
directly.
Creating an additional User for the spare analogue port is
not difficult. The system is likely set up for UK defaults,
and Manager has pretty good context help files. The
software should be on a disc supplied with the system.
I think the way to go may be to source an 8 port Analogue expansion
module and add that to the system. I don't know if the client has/had
the disks, I know the current maintainer dials in via the isdn to do
config shanges. I wouldn't want to get into demarkation disputes with
them, and as they are also the least cost routing supplier, it might
prove difficult.
That sounds good. They should be able to get a copy of the disc for the Phone Manager software. The Lite version is licence-free.
