Nokia 6300 quiet earpiece

I find the sound from the earphone on my Nokia 6300 is not loud enough
to hear it properly in noisy areas, even when it's at maximum. I have
to press it very hard against my ear to have any chance of hearing it.

I've updated the software via the Nokia website.

Would it be possible to get someone to hack into the software to make
it louder? My local mobile phone unlocker says it can't be
done .....................?
