NewsDump1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx declared for all the world to hear...
In our area Orange has been going downhill in the last year or so as to
quality or reliability.
I want to change to T-Mobile and called Orange to transfer my number and
they started the usual about valued customer, special deal ...
She then mentioned that the older phones used 2G which now were being
run down (hence the wose quality) while a new phone of my choice would
use 3G and be much better.
Does this make any sense and is it true?
It may do in the unusual event that your local 2G cell was removed and
replaced with a 3G only cell. In your case though it sounds like
bollocks.
