This morning my Nokia 6680 incorrectly showed the headset icon and went
silent.

I tried to restart, but it only ever gets as far as the initial NOKIA
screen.

I've tried removing the memory card, starting in safe mode (pencil key),
and even a hard reset (green+*+3), but nothing ever appears apart from the
NOKIA screen

I think I need to take it in to be fixed - but I wondered if anyone here
could think of something else to try.

I had this exact problem 2 months again. Eventually what worked for me what
removing memory card and hard resetting and giving a full charg for 16
hours hours.When i then switched phone on it worked.
