According to several forums that have reviewed this device the cost of the
phone can be anything from free to about £250.00
Also, for some reason they have removed the Microsoft Messenger, again
according to a review I have read online, which I personally think is a
reason not to buy this phone. Surely the big sell of these types of phones -
numerous others are about to come on the market - is the messaging
interface? I hear that Orange are coming up with their own client but
millions of people already use MSN Messenger.

Hi Nick
I've had the M500 for a while and been very happy with it
I tried the M600 for a few days, but its processor was way too slow for
me (couldn't even scroll down pdf documents) so I'm back with the M500
until my 2 x M3100 arrive.
IMO Orange has the best looking variety. T-Mobile (not out yet in UK)
is similar but will have purple keyboard surround apparently - see
German T-Mobile site). Voda variety very similar to HTC TyTn
(apparently now available from Voda Watford store!).
Advantages over M600?
1) Decent speed processor (400mHz instead of 195mHz)
2) 3g speed (or even faster)
3) Qwerty keyboard
Bizarrely enough, due to Orange's current discount structure and
airtime credit structure, I could supply you with 2 x M3100 on a 2000
(2yr) sharer tariff cheaper than I could 1 x M3100!)
Monthly cost (ex VAT) of 2000min (2yr) tariff with 1 sharer: £85.50
Airtime credit of £640 (credited directly to your Orange account in
Month 3) effectively brings monthly cost down to equivalent of £58.83.
The 2 x M3100 would both be free to you.
You also get free Orange Care, free Answerphone, free calls between
sharers and free 0800.
Should you wish to read user experiences of Htc TyTn or Voda 1605, best
places to check out are probably www.xda-developers.com or
www.modaco.com
