SPV c500 not charging

Hi

I have an SPV C500 which is no longer charging.

When you plug in the mains charger it shows the orange LED for a few seconds
then goes green. But no charge enters the phone.

It has now got to the stage where the phone will not boot as there is not
enough charge.

The only software I have installed is TOM TOM 5 mobile should that make any
odds?
