PAC Code

I want to upgrade my phone to a K800i on o2. I've been told that itl be
£49.99 which is silly considering they are giving them away to new
customers.

I asked for my PAC in an attempt at being asked to stay but they wouldnt
budge and I got my PAC.

So, two questions

1) If I cancel can I just sign up again to o2 and give them my existing o2
pac code and keep my number?

2) If I don't use the PAC and can get them to come round in the o2 shop will
it just expire and my contract remain?
