When you start a port, the 30 days notice period is deemed to have started
on the day you requested the port. Therefore, requesting your PAC on the
day your contract ends and using it the same/next day will result in
having to pay line rental for a further 30 days, even if your transfer
goes through 5-7 days later (and your account is terminated).

However I seem to remember T-Mobile giving me a partial line rental "refund"
the last time I had ported from them. How did that work?
