Stop the Clock

My daughter's at university and only has a mobile (was 3, now Vodaphone). During the week my wife's working away and, for the time being, she only has a mobile as well (Orange). Phoning mobiles with BT is still expensive so when I saw the ads for StC, it looked good and so it's proved. I can talk to either for 20 minutes or more, pretty much whenever I want to and there's still enough minutes left from the 125 (or whatever) for those odd, short calls during peak hours. Brilliant!
I don't have anything to do with Vodaphone but it's nice when these mega-corps do something useful. I can't imagine life at the moment without StC. Passport looks useful too, it should save pounds on holidays (so long as I make sure I'm on the right network).
I had to take out an 18 month contract but I've been with Vodaphone for 9.5 years during which time I only ever had 2 phones. So when I was looking at StC, the prospect of a free K750i (and HP photo printer - I must use it some time!) seemed a fair trade for an 18-month Anytime 125 contract - 6 months of which was half price. (It even includes a few texts (100) which my last contract didn't.) It all arrived the day after I ordered it. The only downsides were apparently not getting itemised billing (although that might be available on line) and the deal expressly precluded porting my number. Quite why, I don't know.
Hey ho! One happy punter. -- Peter .
