I've just been phoned by Talktalk, who currently do my phone calls. Once

she must have told them a thousand times that she knows nothing about it.

I've been thinking about moving anyway because we make darn all use of
the 'phone as a 'phone - under a fiver of calls a month - and BT (!)
might actually be a better deal. They get line rental anyway, and I'm
not over enamoured with the Tiscali side of things after an experience
involving formal complaints to OFCOM last year over a billing cockup,
continued attempts to charge after transfer, yada yada.

Anyway the woman from Talktalk listed a bunch of ISPs _including_
Eclipse - I don't remember them all - and said that they were calling
because they were all part of the same group, and I might as well
consolidate into one bill.

Eclipse bought by Talktalk? WHAT? News to me, I didn't know that - but
she assured me it was correct.

Eclipse don't seem to know. They think they are part of KCOM PLC, which
IIRC is the Kingston on Hull telephone company as was. And I can't see
anything on the web.

So - were Talktalk lying to me? Or have they (again) bought my ISP out
from under my feet?

It's probably time I changed again anyway!

There's no news anywhere about Carphone Warehouse/Talktalk buying Eclipse.
All information shows it still to be owned by KCOM.
Another example of CW's incompetence?
