Hi ... The GF is moving into a new (rented) flat. The guy leaving has been
with TW/BY/VM for a few years. Are they likely to allow her to 'take over'
his account (+ she wants to downgrade - doesn't need the TV stuff)?
Cheers ... Mark
Would it not be better to just open a new account, then you will get a nice new* box, without anyone elses history attached to it, also you will probably get a new telephone number, so you done end up getting all the previous persons calls, and you also dont know how known this existing number might be to various organisations the previous person my have debts (for example) with!
They can of couse just use the same cables that are installed, so it will just require the virgin media "engineer" (very loose description there!!) to come and screw a cable into the back of a box he brings with him, and you to plug a phone in to the existing socket.
As I undesrtand it, if you get the phone service, you get the basic TV package with it anyway. http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/product.do?id=3001 so downgrading to just the phone isn't really an option!
*Okay, maybe a reconditioned one!
