You've provided all the info you need there Geoff for me to tell you
what is happening;

Your BT Business hub (2 Wire HG2700) by default broadcasts two
wireless SSIDs, one wireless network normally called something like BT
Business Hub the other BT Fusion, the 1st is secured by WEP and the
2nd is secured by WPA. Both of these codes are on a sticker on the
side of the router. They are seperate networks, so that explains your
issue with filesharing although it does allow net access as you found.

The 1st network which is by default secured by WEP will be in the same
network mask as the ethernet ports on the router. There is no
requirement to keep this as a WEP network, if you want you can easily
swap it to something more secure through the web interface of the
router. You shouldn't ever have to touch the BT Fusion side of the
router, your issue is nothing to do with BT Fon it's just the way the
router is set up. HTH.
