Presumably it would have been a lot quicker to move the files directly
between said servers rather than via an asymmetric internet connection.
Something to keep in mind for next time, I suppose...

Unfortunately the ISP I'm moving from doesn't allow shell access or even zipping directories. It has to be done by support people, and they took more than a week to achieve it last time I asked. One of the reasons I'm trying alternatives!
