Got a letter from AOL (Carphone Warehouse) this morning telling me that
(in their opinion) I'd exceeded their Fair Use Policy by downloading more
than 60GB per month and threatening to throttle my bandwidth even further
than they do already if I didn't reduce this total.

So, is there any *genuine* unlimited broadband service provider left in
the UK?

Beunlimited give clear info. You can even pay more to do what you like. I
am changing over to them soon. Other ISPs are just waiting to see who makes
the first move before trying to under cut deals.
Virgin made a big mistake strangling connections - lots of people are
leaving an already troubled company.
