Hello,
I'm thinking of getting broadband (currently on dial-up).
If I get a wireless router, rather than a modem, do I have to have a
wireless-enabled pc, or can I connect with a cable. (I dont have a wireless
pc at the moment, but may upgrade later).
Most (if not all) wireless routers will also have at least one
ethernet port, usually with an inbuilt switch to provide 4 ports.
If your PC doesn't currently have an ethernet network port then you
can buy a PCI network card for less than a tenner from most online
retailers, ebuyer, dabs and scan to name a couple that spring to mind.
