prodigynet

Anyone remember this....................from the 16/03/07

seems my isp(prodigynet) has disappeared from the face of the earth.
Been with them for about 4 years on adsl and all was alright until about 6
months ago.
Then my ping and connection started having problems and to resolve the
matter I tried to get in touch with them.
I emailed them quite a few times, phoned them, still no response.
All I needed to know was if it was their problem or BT's.
I decided to move on to another provider.
I have asked for my MAC by email and recorded delivery letter, but still no
joy.
No one answers the support phone or the sales phone.
If they are going out of business well ok but at least let us punters know.
Could it be that this is a way to prevent me getting my MAC.
Its all in the hands of OFCOM now, so if anyone hears anything about
Prodigynet please post here.

Please....Please ...answer this mail

anyone on prodigynet

well the latest is as follows,
decided to go with sky, and did all the neccessary.
Waited for OFCOM to do what they could, and kept phoning and sending letters
trying to contact Prodigynet.
Two weeks ago phoned and surprise surprise, got through to someone.
Asked him why I couldn't contact anyone for 2 months to which he replied "
there is always someone here between 9.00 and 5.30 "
Asked him for my MAC and he said it would be about a week, lo and behold
they emailed my MAC in 1 week.
Got in touch with Sky told them my MAC and explained I needed to be set up
quickly to avoid being charged for another month by Prodigynet.
Within 10 days I had two letters giving me my password, and also telling me
my modem would be with me soon.
The date for changeover was given as 21/05/07.
True to their word, I am logged on and am now on Sky with pings of 40-60 and
double the download and access speeds of Prodigynet.
So good old Sky, double the speed, £5-00 per month cheaper than prodigynet
and they are also giving me
£10-00 per month off my Sky+ .
