Dear All
I have a client living out in the boonies with a line tested at less than
256
kBps. I would usually recommend Nildram or Zen, but are there any usable,
cheap, throttled services that might suit a user who will get so little
speed
anyway?
Toucan?
TIA

You never can truly tell when you have run out of invisible ink.
Huw,
ADSL+ 'up to 8 meg' may work far better. My link is 8.6Km as measured by
BT with line testing equipment and is synchronising at 576 or 608K with a BT
HH. Plain ordinary ADSL 2Mbit did not work at all.
This hasn't answered your question directly but I'm watching replies anyway.
Phil
