There was some backdoor used on one of those apps which allowed a BBC
reporter (with help from a hacker) see the credit details of a chap in
the UK, simply because it gave access to all files and directories on a
PC [used by the target's wife for file sharing]. I would run such apps
on a PC used only for that purpose, on a dynamic IP, rather than allow
someone to target anything I have on the PC or on my LAN.
