You'll probably find that there'll be no "streaming" to any website, just
a web page which has the necessary code to cause streaming from your home
(fixed IP) to be started. There will be plenty of examples around, but a
quick look at <http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/cams/PN_IH_CSCWebcams.htm> will
show you the code inserted to get the browser to display images from Axis
webcam (popular, but not cheap)
Some webcams display a menu if called up on particular port numbers, so a
size for the image can be chosen from a menu, for example. I've not used
one here (just watched various free cams from around the world). I guess
the choice comes down to your budget... 100 to 300 and perhaps 750 up may
be the types of price bracket for them, based on a few I've seen. One of
my friends didn't 'stream' but used a few (3 or 4) webcams at home, which
updated about once every 2 minutes. It allowed him to see the images via
his mobile phone. One was on his plasma screen, another looked along the
front drive and a third was in another room, so he could tell if anything
had been disturbed, without having fully streaming output. Peter M.
