The DG834G and WG111 is a good combination. I use it all the time.
1) If you cannot access the internet, something has been setup incorrectly.
2) To determine whether there is interference, you can try changing channels
as you suggest. Another test would be to situate the PC next to the router.
If the connection works fine when they are close together and not so good
when they are far apart, then it may be a combination of distance and
interference.
3) If you are using encrption, initially remove this and get everything
working first.
4) Finally, check the software to your wireless adapter and ensure its up to
date and/or connect through a different wireless adapter and see what
happens.
