Aparently the IP was always meant to be a dynamic IP. However, when
they signed up they got IP addresses allocated to them, and an A
record created. This A record has now gone and the users are using
different IP addresses. I am not so bothered, but the real thing was
the possible removal of the addresses without customer knollege, but
it was in the T&C when they signed up all along. I did wonder how
they would manage with so many users signing up.

I don't buy the IP address thing apart from the server issue - in
which case they would have more difficulty as they are on dynamic IP.
However, with the background traffic, it is possible they even won't
get disconnected, or will be reconnected immedeately when the router
connects back.
