Be Broadband have announced details of their service in London and are
now accepting ADSL2+ orders/triallists (up to 24MB downstream/1MB
upstream) for their pilot service
Their launch offer is:
free connection
No monthly fee until September 2005 then £20/month for life
£4/month extra if you want a static IP address.
Free ADSL wireless modem/router (Alcatel Speedtouch 716g) if ordered
before 18 September 2005
You appear to have to pay on a quarterly basis rather than monthly
(they also have an "office" version at £70/month).
I assume the offer is available at all 45 exchanges that Be were
originally going to enable in London but if you put your number in it
tells you when your exchange will be enabled (if they currently have
plans for it) and they will allow you to pre order now.
More details of their pilot service are at
