Yes. Your dish has not been aligned accurately - and/or the LNB
skew is incorrect.
Ahhh, I guess that means I have to get the ladder out again :) ... I
did give it the correct skew as it gained on the meter when I gave it
about 13/15% skew.
50% signal strength is marginal and 40% signal quality is too
low. You should aim for 70% + on both counts - and definitely
not less than 60%
Thats what I suspected but ran out of puff to get back up the
ladder :) .. these old legs aren't what they used to be lol.
Furthermore, the integral signal meter only provides an
approximate measurement of signal strength and quality. The
digibox meter is not sufficiently accurate to perform a
realignment.- Hide quoted text -
On my digi meter it said I was getting about 58.2% signal strength.
I guess it might need a slight ajustment to get a better signal and
quality.
Appreciate the suggestiong fellas! :)
One other suggestion.
Sky charge £65 for a service call. That is a fixed fee that covers all parts & labour, plus a three month warranty.
I suspect you may need a need co-ax down lead and if the brackets are so rocky, you may need new brackets. £65 might be a small price to pay, because it will save you a lot of hassle.
