at present I have standard digibox and a Panasonic hard disc dvdrThe recordings on the + drive are the bit stream as broadcast so will be identical to viewing the live broadcast (provided you don't cancel your sub in the meantime) and will include a two minute padding to allow for bad time keeping by the broadcaster. Copying from Sky+ to Panasonic HDD will include the synopsis (as on the /i/ button) and can cope with copying multiple programmes unattended. Quality will be identical. There is, however, no AutoView function, but then you will not get the best quality out of the VCR Scart socket anyway.
machine, which is cool but obviously I would like to have the
advantage of recording one and watching another sky channel, so how
good are the recordings to the + drive? I know folks do record sky+
and burn onto dvd recorders but is there any loss in quality in
comparison to direct recording to a dvd through scart?
