Sky merely charge a subscription to view pay for channels. You don't
have to pay them to view free ones and some of the pay for channels are
available on digital terrestrial.
Sky do not have the monopoly on digital TV in this country or even
satellite TV.
If the only way to view TV via satellite was with a Sky subscription,
you'd have a point.
