Live Pause ... and occasional record failure

Hi Peeps,

Well we've had sky+ about 6 weeks now and well impressed - so much better
than cable tv from Teleworst!

Here's our sky+ box details. Pace model No 1.127, verson No 9F2202. OS v
1.31 AOE. EPG software version Sky +1.30.q

I saw on here about the so called 'Live Pause' problem .. and then low and
behold (very seasonal words!!) it happened to us ... and then would yolu
believe it, Question of Sport failed to record.

Didn't see anything on the FAQ's about these two issues but having prior
knowledge of a 'live pause' problem from on here I thought I'd try SKY tech
support. The guy I spoke to was very nice but not obviously aware there was
a 'live pause' problem. He recommended turning everything off for a few
mins then back on and leave it on standby for a few mins before switching on
and watching tv again. OK by me - and all ok ... but it froze on live pause
again today. Reset as before and all ok - until the next time that is.

I wonder how many people are affected by this ... and what if anything is
being done about it?

As for failing to record - his explanation was that the trigger they pick up
for recording that goes in their TV guide is supplied by the programme
supplier (or similar) and if it is wrong or not present then the recording
will fail. Seems a pretty logical explanation to me. I wonder how many
programmes slip through the net and have missing or incorrect info? Or do
you have a different explanation??
