Hmm. Had a similar issue with Sky occur at my Mum's about two years ago. The
differences being that the culprit wasn't 6, he was 26. Also, he was found
guilty of fraudulently running bills up at my Mum's, one of which was the
Sky bill.

I excersiced the DD guarantee and had £500 refunded from Sky. They have
spent the last 2 & a half years pursuing my mother for the money.

We have only just settled with them - they eventually agreed to take the
amount we originally offered on day 1, which was a sum equal to £500 minus
the cost of the extra services. (ie the normal monthly subscription)

I guess your friend is in a different position - the phone bill will be sent
by BT, Telewest, NTL or Kingston - not Sky. It may not be your friends
fault - neither is it the Telco's.
