Monday21-Monday28 August. It always finishes on the English bank holiday.
The weekend before (19-20) should be John's public workshop. If you only
have a few days, try to be there for the weekend (26-27) : barbie on
Saturday and aquajet competition on the Sunday. Although those in the know
stay the whole week to be sure of a couple of flying days. :) And bring a
stormproof tent, if you have one, and a water-resistant sense of humour.
Seriously, it's a great week. The weather can be lovely and otherwise,
sometimes in the same hour.

Many thanks for the info. I am definitely going to IRW, sounds great
and I have never been to Scotland. (I know 38 years old and never been
to Scotland!) so I am going for 3 days and making a mini break out of
it.

With regards the BSD challenge, you need to enter through UKRA on the
day. Chas is making up the official rules etc re tie breaker and the
UKRA are running the event on the day and presenting the cup and
goodies. Glad to hear you are entering (whoever you are).
