For MPR, and especially if the materials being bonded are wood and
cardboard, I'll often just use an aliphatic resin such as Titebond.

But, what are the particular issues you are encountering with epoxy?
If it's getting the ratios correct, then metering pumps, such as those
available for West Systems' epoxy, will help a lot.
