No, I don't believe they have a spare - I think they are too
hand-to-mouth for that.
I have to question the sense of taking a rocket engine that has been
fired 8 times before to a prestigious event and expecting it to work
yet again. Unless of course it has been designed for far more firings
- but how exactly do you design an engine to be reusable as opposed to
one-shot? Do Starchaser do this? Have they the expertise? Their
web-site is very short on details. It will be interesting to see what
the reasons are for the failure. Mr Bennett's glib quips don't really
help him either.
It is also interesting that there has been far less media coverage
(again) for Starchaser. Is the media getting tired of continued hype
and no delivery?
