Re: DOGs, Credits and Programme Info - BBC1 5pm today - Points of View

Just shift your business elsewhere as I've done.

But doesn't that mean missing out on programmes you may want to
watch? I can't believe that everything you'd like to see is always
available in a DOG free format... Ok, most films and 'large scale'
drama series eventually turn up on DVD, but I'm sure many smaller
'one off' dramas and factual type programmes never do...

In an ideal world firstly no broadcaster would be so insulting and
philistine to smear DOG shit on TV pictures and secondly all content
should be available via DVD.

But sadly, this world is not, and never will be ideal...

To me it is a matter of integrity, self-respect, and principle never
to accept the legalised criminal vandalism of video material and to
never pay homage to marketing scum.

And I don't.

So your answer to my question is; yes, you would miss out on a program you
really wanted to watch, if it was only available in DOGged format??
Well, I admire you sticking to your principles, if you feel that strongly,
but do you really think anyone else(ie the broadcasters) cares? For every
person like you that refuses to watch a channel because it has a DOG, there
will be thousands (if not 10s of thousands) that will not care/tolerate
it/not even notice it's there...

Not intending to insult, just curious, but can I ask what age-group you're
in. (I'd guess 50s or older...)
