You could have got it for £30 last week. It works better than any of
the rubbish from Argos but uses composite video instead of S-Video or
RGB so you get patterning on sky scrapers and striped shirts etc.
Also the amplifier or modulator saturate on peak white so you get
grey streaks to the right of bright news banners, OSDs or bright
text, which extend all the way to the edge of the screen (never on
the left for some reason so maybe its a problem with deghosting) but
most of the time they are not noticable.
Being in the kitchen, I'm assuming it's for watching while preparing food
etc. rather than for serious viewing - in which case the ultimate of
quality probably doesn't matter.
[My wife gets by with a 6" LCD when she has to be in the kitchen but
doesn't want to lose the plot of some TV drama or other.]
When the Microwave is on you will probably loose the picture and sound
completely and even if you don't the sound will be impossible to listen to
and the picture will be full of bars of white nose.
The question that needs asking is if all these microwaves are leaking from
the oven how can it be considered safe?
