instantly what you meant.
You'd hardly be complaining if it was 10dB up, and the sentence "Appears
to be about 10dB yesterday and today" makes no sense literally or
technically, and obviously isn't provided as an information service!

Yes. I suppose one disadvantage of this medium is the fact that silly people
can join in. What would we do at a party to which children were addmitted? I
suppose we'd try to be indulgent. It's hard when they're aggressive though.
